For The Moment
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
(Joshua1:9)

Jesus spoke of freedom, but he spoke of a different kind of freedom: the type of freedom that comes not through power but through submission. Not through control but through surrender. Not through possessions but through open hands.
God wants to emancipate; he wants to set them free. He wants his people to be not slaves but sons and daughters. He wants them governed not by law but by love.
We have been liberated from our own guilt and our own legalism. We have the freedom to pray and the freedom to love the God of our heart. And we have been forgiven by the only one who could condemn us.
We are truly free!

An endless song

There is an endless song
Echoes in my soul
I hear the music ring

And though the storms may come
I am holding on
To the rock I cling

How can I keep from singing your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is your love
How can I keep from shouting your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing

I will lift my eyes
In the darkest night
For I know my Savior lives
And I will walk with you
Knowing you'll see me through
And sing the song you gave

I can sing in the troubled times
Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose myself
And I fall down again
I can sing cos you pick me up
Sing cos you're there
I can sing cos you hear me LORD
When I call to you in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
Sing for I know
That I'll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne

This is a great song that echoes the truth of Isaiah43:1-7,where God promises His forever presence through times of blazing fires and sweeping waters. There is an endless song, because it is an endless love that God has for us.The cross stretches to the left and to the right.Wherever we are,His arms of love stretches to reach out,to embrace and to bring us back.It extends to heights and depths to empower us and to lift us up.

Are you doing well financially?
Sing of His grace and provision!

Are you happy with your family?
Sing of His mercy and faithfulness

Are you contented and problem-free(at least for now)?
Sing of His power and compassion!

Are you in pain and sickness?
Sing of His presence and love!

Are you in trouble sorrow?
Sing of His mercy and peace!

Friends, let us keep the endless song in our hearts, spirit and lips.Sing of WHO our God is.

Jeremiah31:3 'The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.'

Draw near to God

James4:8 'Come near to God and he will come near to you.Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.'

The nearer we come to God, the more graciously will He reveal Himself to us. When the prodigal comes to his father, his father runs to meet him. When the wandering dove returns to the ark, Noah puts out his hand to pull her in unto him, When the tender wife seeks her husband's society, he comes to her on wings of love. Come then, dear friend, let us draw near to God who so graciously awaits us and will come to meet us.

Isaiah58:9 'Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;you will cry for help, and he will say:Here am I. ...'
Friends, let us stop hesitating to draw near.Instead let us take the initiative to draw near to God,with the confidence that He will in turn draw near to us. God is near to forgive, to bless, to comfort, to help, to quicken, to deliver. Let it be the main point with us to get near to God. When we draw near to God,the bible tells us we are overcomers of the world (1John4:4,5:4-5) . So friends, let us hesitate no more, because the King of kings wants to draw near to us,but we must first be willing to draw near to Him.

Let your Spirit come
Let your will be done
Let your presence fall on me

Christ you set me free
You're my liberty
Let your presence fall on me

Let the power of the holy ghost
Fall in this place
Come and change my heart renew me
With your mercy and your grace
Let the love of Christ surround me
Come closer to my side
Let your Spirit fall on me

I will shout Hallelujah!

I will walk
In the victory
That my God has given me
And I will live
A life that brings glory to His name
Because I have received salvation
That came at no way from myself
It came only because Jesus he came to die for me

And I will shout Hallelujah!
Because God has given me reason to praise
And I will shout Hallelujah!
Because my Savior rose from the dead

Nails could not hold him down
Death could not put him out
A stone meant to keep him in was rolled away!
My Savior lives!

So I will shout Hallelujah!
Because God has given me reason to praise
And I will shout Hallelujah!
Because my Savior,he died and rose again!

Psalm24:3-6
'Who may ascend the hill of the LORD?
Who may stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to an idol
or swear by what is false.
He will receive blessings from the LORD
and vindication from God his Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face,
O God of Jacob.'

As I was reading this passage, the LORD spoke to me. He said,'Adriel, what do you want your generation to be remembered as?What kind of a legacy do you want your generation to leave?'

So I wrote down the following points and presented it to the LORD.
I want my generation to be remembered as:
1.A God-fearing generation
2.A God-seeking generation
3.A generation that has clean hands and pure hearts
4.A generation ready to surrender everything to advance the kingdom of God
5.A generation of faith that will move mountains
6.A generation blessed and loved by God

When I presented these to the LORD,he replied,'Adriel my son,you have forgotten the most important thing.I tell you the truth,if you want your generation to be like what you have listed,it must first learn how to love.'

And so the following points were added to my list:
7.A generation that loves God and His people
8.A generation where everybody loves everybody
9.A generation that embraces 'family'

And then the LORD spoke again,'Adriel,if you want your generation to leave a legacy,it must start from you.'

Friends, today many of us are guilty of pursuing what we think God loves.Faith, service, oikos and everything, but we have forgotten that what God really wants us to have is love.In the midst of pursuing what seems so right,we have lost our motivation of our actions. We have lost our way somwhere. But today, friends,God is calling us back to our focus.Since God is all about love, let us begin even to embrace love and let it be the reason why we are doing what we are doing.God wants us to pursue other things, yes, but ultimately if we do not have love, then we are not honouring God wih what we are doing.

'And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.' 1Cor13:13

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cos I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel

This post is dedicated to all ch.some of you may read my blog, most of you may never read this, but anyway,i just want to post this on public domain.i know yesterday during debrief i was really harsh, and i sincerely apologise if i offended anybody, but my heart is really heavy for us.It's not because we were perhaps not giving our best in our serving, but because i know we can do so much more.I've heard that many of you think my expectations are really high, but hey,we are serving the Lord so let's give our best, because God has given His best, and as children of God,shouldn't we do the same?Maybe many of you were expecting me to lead this team the way sis Jerlyn did,and i know she did a great job, credits to her,but i'm not gonna lead the team the way she did, because sis Jerlyn and myself and Mei Yan have received diferent annointings from God,and we have received different directions from God,and i believe CH is going through a different season here, not just in the leadership, but I sense God is calling CH to new things! And people we got to be ready for the change God is bringing us into.don't get caught unguarded.maybe you think my expectations are really high, but hey,it's only because i believe this team has a lot of potential, and if we want God to bring us from potential to fulfillment we've got to start getting our hearts right before Him and start getting serious with God.If we are going to want a revival,a revolution,we've got to be ready, because it is us in ministry that are gonna get hit the hardest, and we've got to start aligning ourselves to God's will.Maybe i was really stern yesterday, and i apologise if you were in some way unhappy about it,and hey,i'm not perfect and i admit that, and i'm learning together with all of you.Let's do this together alright? :)
Matthew11:12'From the days of John the Baptist until now,the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.' Guys,if we really want to advance CH,we've got to start being forceful!we have to realize that God is calling us to new things! And we have to realize that if we are gonna want to see things happen,we have to be ready for it.I know i'm tredding on thin line here, and i'm not here to criticise or stumble anybody, but i hope you'll really read through and think about what i'm saying here because it's not going to take one person to start the change.I can't do this alone,i'm gonna need all of you to support me.Likewise,we're all gonna need someone to support us.so let's do this as a team yeah?as a team.i'm not angry at anyone at all,i just felt i had to say what i said during debrief,i hope you do not take it personally, feel free to approach me if you have any comments on how i'm doing things yeah? :) i'm growing together with all of you. ;)

People if we really want to advance CH we have to really start taking ownership of this ministry and allow God to take control.I'm not saying we must be serious all the time,no play play, rather what i'm saying is,there are times to have fun, there are times to be serious with what we are doing. And really,I LOVE ALL OF YOU,EACH ONE OF YOU.

Oh well, things haven't been going well at all.But I know that God you're with me,and I know that You'll bring me through.Lord I need your strength. My source of srength,my source of hope,is Christ alone.
A lot of things have been on the downside for me recently, been really confused and a bit depressed. To say the recent week was bad is quite the understatement. But I know God has His plans for my life. And maybe things don't look good right now,but I know God has His way,His will for my life, and I know it's good.Just as He has promised in Romans8:28,'And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him,who have been called according to His purpose.' I know God loves me,and I know that He has my life in His hands. And I'm hanging on to His promises He has for me.

Verse 1:
If my heart has grown cold,
There Your love will unfold;
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand.
When I'm blind to my way,
There Your Spirit will pray;
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand,
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand.

Chorus:
Oceans will part; nations come
At the whisper of Your call.
Hope will rise; glory shown.
In my life, Your will be done.

Verse 2:
Present suffering may pass,
Lord, Your mercy will last;
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand.
And my heart will find praise,
I'll delight in Your way,
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand,
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand.

Testimonies

Hey people, sorry I haven't been blogging for a really long time.Been really busy, especially with the exams.Still in the midst of them, left with Geog paper tomorrow.Well, the exams haven't been going really well, but still,I'm trusting God on this and I know He'll sustain me.LORD I commit the paper to you.
Have been sick the whole week, down with flu and slight fever.A big thank you to all who prayed.I'm feeling much better now.Don't worry,I'm taking care of myself and I know God will heal me.Because I know He's mighty to save! :) I really thank God for blesing me with you people, people whom I can go to for help, whether it's a prayer or even for answers to a few questions. But yeah, big or small, you people have really blessed me a lot, really.
Anyway, just wanted to post about something I've held in my heart for a considerable amount of time, and that is to the giving of testimonies. As I was doing my TAWG,I came across Luke8:39,which reads,"'Return home and tell how much God has done for you.'"
While many of us reading Luke chapter 8 might find that the main point of the story is about God's faithfulness, and how He will heal us as we cry out to Him,but this particular verse caught my eye even as I was reading it."'Return home and tell how much God has done for you.'" God desires us to declare even of His faithfulness,to testify of His power and love. It's not because God needs the glory, but it's because God wants us to always rememeber who is in control, and that is God.When many of us receive healing,we accept it from God and then we put it aside. We never remember it nor testify of it.And this saddens my heart. We always say,"God has been faithful",but have we ourselves be faithful?Have we ourselves credited God for our healing?Have we credited God for the good things He has done?Be it healing, restoration, journey mercy, good grades,or even a good day,God deserves all the glory!Friends today let's begin to openly testify of God's faithfulness.Whether it's big news or smallGod deserves the testimony.Let' begin to realize that the one in control is really God.It is He who gives us what we have,it is He who makes us who we are,it is He that has our lives planned out well.Friends, today let's begin to testify openly to anybody! You never know who you will impact with that testimony.God is waiting for you to act before He can convict.Friends I'm not saying that God will not bless you if you do not remain faithful, what I'm saying is,God wants you to testify of who is in control.God wants you to know that without Him,you are nothing! Many of us have hidden testimonies, and we are afraid to share it,because we think it's too small to share."It's no big illness,"we say."It's not a really big pay-rise,"we think to ourselves. But hey,I want you to know that big or small, minor or major,God deserves the glory!
There is a story.Once there was a man who had a lot of faith. With the power of God He could heal anybody. If a person had headache he would crash the person's head unto the wall, and that person would be healed. Many people came to this man for healing, and every single one of them would be healed. But there was one person this man could not heal, and that was his own daughter. You see,his daughter contractd a serious disease, and she didn't have much longer to live. The man did all he could to try to save his daughter. He bought the best medicine, consulted the best doctors, gave up his job so he could have as much tim as he could to pray, fasted everyday, but his daughter could not be healed. When his daughter eventually died, the pale, skinny, distraught man seeked God and asked desperately why his daughter could not be healed.God answered with a short but powerful answer,"My son,I want you to kep focus on me,to know that all the people who received healing, you did not heal them,I did.And I wanted you to know who is in control." The man understood, and from there He continued to preach the gospel and continued healing people.
Friends, today God wants you to always rememebr that He is control. You might be doing well, and that's good, but give all the glory and praise to God.Or perhaps you are doing not so well, but praise God as well, for it is you that God seeks to help.
Matthew 5:4'Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.'
Lord I thank you for all you have done for me,for all that you have so faithfully blessed me with.Father I'm sorry for all the sins I've made.I need you Lord, becaus I know I can't do this alone and Lord,I know that you'll bring me through.I pray Oh God,that you will give me strength, because I know that I cannot rely on my own strength.By your spirit Lord.Amen.

Worship You My Lord
Until the very end

Jesus, lover of my soul
Jesus, I will never let You go
You've taken me from the miry clay
You've set my feet upon the rock
And now I know

I love You, I need You
Though my world may fall
I'll never let You go
My Savior, my closest Friend
I will worship You until the very end

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believed!

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God my Savior
Has ransomed me
And like a flood
His mercy rains
Unending love,amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.

You are forever mine

Ephesians2:4-9'But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.'

John9:25'He replied,"Whether he is a sinner or not,I don't know.One thing I do know.I was blind but now I see!"'
