How many times have you felt confused and lost because u don't know what to do in a situation?follow the ways of the world of follow God's way?I have,and I have to admit,sometimes I choose to follow the ways of the world,and I'm not proud of it.

Romans12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-HIS GOOD,PLEASING AND PERFECT WILL"

sounds tough yeah?but the last words sound good right?but how exactly do we be in the world but not of the world?(sounds familiar?) simple.it all boils down to your values and principles.what kind of values do you embrace in your school,workplace,family and life?

A simple comparison of the world's principles and God's principles:

1.World's principle:Achieve results
God's principle:Serve a purpose

2.World's principle:What can i get?
God's purpose:How can i give?Notice it's not a what but a how?It's not what you can offer but how God can work through what you offer.

3.World:Success=dollars
God:Significance=people

4.World:Work to please people
God:Work to please God

5.World:Fear of the unknown
God:Living with hope and trust

6.World:Leadership is being first
God:Leadership is being last

7.World:Take charge; surrender means defeat
God:Let go; surrender means victory

8.World:The end justifies the means.Get to the outcome regardless of how you accomplish it.
God:The means justify the end.Do the right thing regardless of the outcome.

God:Freedom of choice

Which set of principles are you embracing in your life today?We commonly view this dilemma as an internal struggle between right and wrong.We seem to be presented with a disturbing choice:either we embrace bottom-line success and turn from God or we accept and live by God's principles and suffer whatever negative consequence that comes our way.We are challenged by questions like "can i do what's right and still be successful?" and "can i be both ethical and profitable?"
If you trust in God's principles,have the courage to live them and have the patience to wait on His timing,then i believe that the answer to both questions is "yes".Biblical principles and bottom-line success are not opposites.in fact,i think they work together!Yes,you can be both ethical and profitable,definitely.And yes,you can honour God,serve others and still fulfill your professional obligations.
God did not call us to be victims of circumstance.He calls us to grow closer to Him by courageously working with Him through our dilemmas.He wants us to prosper,to be valuable leaders and to serve as models to help others.
When you integrate God's principles with your unique talents,skills and character,you create a powerful partnership for being successful in the world without becoming of the world.As a result,your challenge and dilemma strengthen you to become the successful and significant leader God intended you to be.

Worldly and Godly leadership:The differences
1.Worldly leaders:Pressure weakens them
Godly leaders:Pressure strengthens them

2.Worldly Leaders:Prioritizing profits over principles reduces their value over time
Godly Leaders:Prioritizing principles over profit enhances their value over time

3.Worldly Leaders:Their character weakens over time
Godly Leaders:Their character strengthens over time

4.Worldly Leaders:They produce nothing other than bottom-line results
Godly Leaders:They produce a legacy in addition to bottom-line results

Which kind of leader do you want to be today?remember,it all starts from yourself.

27oct sat:worship experience :)
to say it was great is an understatement,really.could just feel God moving in the chapel and breaking the hearts of the many youths in the place.invited a friend,Sibyl,and she received Christ!:D haha cool rite? lol.started off with the song 'break free' and was it awaesome!the youths were all jumping and just praising God,not caring about what the others thought about them.indeed,God is bringing IGNYTE forward into a new season.ended the event with the song 'beyond the veil'.love the song.really speaks.

28th oct sun:
6:30am:was at changi exhibition centre for the new balance real run 2007.it was my first running event and i wasn't expecting a lot.but the 15km covered was great.wasn't as bad as expected and i finished in 1:32:04.haha...great view and running with bro zihao for the first 3km or so was really nice. :) saw a few other friends there too,though won't mention their names ^-^

lost shoes!!!argh(not)

lol so i lost my shoes friday night...haha but i'm just gonna move on and not dwell on it..man,i mean,what's the point?and thx to hannah and benedict who tried to console me on the losing of my stuff<3 but i'm really alright guys,really appreciate u guys =). haha but i really thank God for teaching me to value my things and not take them for granted just because my parents bought them for me.i'm gonna emerge a Job from this.u see,God allowed the devil to take away everything from Job except his life,including his children to test his faith in Him,but Job remained faithful and trusted that God knew what He was doing.and likewise,i'm not gonna blame God for allowing me to lose it,but i'm gonna thank God instead.who knows,maybe God used the lost shoes to bless someone who needs them more than i do?yeah?and i thank God for my mum's reaction when i told her.i was expecting to be grounded for at least a week,but no!she merely said "er,ok...u've lost it,we can't do anything about it,move on." wow!i was totally stunned...haha. yeah...

ok anyway,God was really evident in service on sat. i felt His presence so real as i knelt at the alters,something i haven't felt in a long long time. Thank god!(=

as i was reading jeremiah1 during my TAWG,it was a wake-up call to me.as i was reading the chap,God just reminded me about the calling He had for me while i was in my discoveryland days.
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,before you were born I set you apart;I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." - Jeremiah 1:5

this was a wake up call as i had almost forgotten about the calling that God had placed in my life. i was pursuing other things that i thought was good but i was so wrong. sometimes,the things that feel so right can be so wrong.now i know.and i'm glad God reminded me to bring myself back into His will for my life.

so,i decided to write another song in lieu of this.it's called "All for You"

this song talks about total surrender to God,about just surrendering all your dreams and goals to follow what He has called you to do,because you know that God has so much more better plans for your life than what you have for yourself.i just want to encourage those reading this post to pause for a moment and just close your eyes to listen to what God has to say to you.and i want you to hear it,acknowledge it and treasure it.sure,the enemy will throw everything at us to cause us to fall and lose the calling,but we'll stand firm yeah?

as i listened to this song on my computer,it was a wake-up call to me to stop being laid back but actually stand up and be counted.sure,i'm serving and all,but am i doing it because i want to serve or am i doing it out of obligation?

"the time has come to stand for all we believe in"...the lyrics speak for themselves.it's time to stop being ashamed of the gospel in your life and it's time to declare the name of the Lord in your life!it's not about who you are or what people say you are,but it's what God can do through you that matters."without God we cannot,but without us God will not".how true.God cannot work through us if we do not allow Him to.we have to re-align ourselves to His will in our lives and not be afraid to step out and be counted.

David killed Goliath with one pebble.one pebble.was it the pebble that killed Goliath?or was it David who killed Goliath?or was it God who through David killed Goliath?David chose to step up and be counted when he heard Goliath rebuking God.he chose to step up,he didn't have to,but he did and we all know what happened after that.

just had camp comm meeting just now at j8,and was it fruitful!:D haha great time of bonding and just brainstorming...glad to testify that ideas kept pouring forth and we in fact went from no ideas at all to more than enough!!haha isn't God wonderful. haha if you're an IGNYTE youth reading this post,i assure you it'll be a great camp for trinity@adam IGNYTE this dec! BATTLECALL! haha ok...for the folks still having exams,be sure that you're not alone in your prayers and we're all warring for you!:) study hard!

yes!finally the exams are over!:D haha...this exams period wasn't just about mugging,but actually it reminded me about how much i needed God and it actually taught me to stay close to him and actually give it all to him. i continued to hold on to the promise that as i honour Him with my serving and time,He will honour me back multifold. and i want to testify that God has been so good to me during this period of exams.He literally gave me the answers when i needed and asked for them:)

heyhey...my first post...let's see...exams are almost over!!!:D tmr's chem paper,shouldn't be a real problem:D haha.evrything's going really good. God has been really real to me even through this period of exams and he's just been so good!:D imagine coming to a question and getting stumped,then closing your eyes to pray and voila!the answer just forms in your head!haha!that's what happened to me,really!and for many times already :D has God been good or very good?haha...just want to thank God for the many things he's blessed me with :)...created this blog to post my testimonies :)
